"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality." --Bishop Desmond Tutu

Holding Israel Accountable

Why don't we? Why is nobody doing anything to report or investigate the charges of war crimes against the IDF for their illegal invasion of Gaza? The Guardian in the UK is at the forefront of investigating allegations of war crimes yet the US media seems content to ignore what Israel did.

The Guardian has produced three videos detailing the charges agains the IDF.

Two other videos, one on the use of armed unmanned drones, and one on the use of human shields, are also available.

Just to review, based on international and customary law, the following holds true:
Medics and medical workers are not legitimate targets under international humanitarian law, and any wilful killing of such people who are clearly identified is capable of amounting to a war crime.

The use of involuntary human shields has already been declared unlawful by Israel's supreme court, which said the practice was a violation of international humanitarian law. There are specific rules against hostage-taking in international conflicts.
Israel is guilty on both counts.
