Reciprocal Roasts

Barack Obama and John McCain appeared at the Alfred E. Smith benefit dinner in NYC last night to benefit Catholic Charities of New York. This is a long standing tradition in political circles. The event is named after Alfred E. Smith, the first Catholic candidate to run for President. He took on Herbert Hoover in 1928 and lost but later played a big role in the Roosevelt administration.

Each candidate had the opportunity to perform and it was magical. Both did very well.
