"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality." --Bishop Desmond Tutu

Like lemmings over the cliff

The Republicans in the House go "all-in" to thwart the economic stimulus package. Each and every one of them voted "No" to the bill signaling a lemming-like adherence to GOP dogma around fiscal stimulus. It didn't matter one bit, though, the bill passed easily thanks to a large Democratic majority. Their efforts were as ineffective as they were risky.

They're now "all-in" on a game of chicken with Obama. They hope he fails. They pray for his failure. They need him to fail. They've sided with the most extreme, radical right-wing elements of their party like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. They're calling the shots now. So Obama must fail. Because if he doesn't, they're done. Cooked. Game Over. From ineffective and irrelevant to extinction with one vote.

Good luck with that, GOPers. Good luck.
