"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality." --Bishop Desmond Tutu

Movie Review: Religulous

Amy and I went to see Bill Maher's first documentary, Religulous. Not surprising, the film was not at the local cineplex in Brookfield (the rich heart of ultra-conservative Waukesha County), but was at the AMC in Mayfair mall a few miles away in Blue Milwaukee County. So popcorn in hand, we sat back to enjoy the ride.

We both laughed our asses off. The things he was able to get "believers" to say on camera, with a straight face, were priceless. Also, some were disturbing. I don't want to spoil the fun, but the movie is fun and distressing. It's hard to believe that so many people practice this kind of "magical thinking".

Go see it, you won't regret it.
