Good News?

Warren Buffett invests $5 Billion in Goldman Sachs. This is viewed as a positive sign that the smartest man on Wall Street sees a future in investment banking.

This raises the question, why are US Taxpayers buying junk assets instead of buying stock in these failing banks? You don't see Warren Buffet offering to buy bad debt and neither should we.

absolutely. If Buffett thinks it's safe to invest in GS, then why do we need a bailout?

But Paulson tipped WB off to this thing weeks ago. WB wouldn't make this decision so quickly.
